Anasma is Performance Arts Dancer, Teacher, and Choreographer currently based in New York City. Anasma uses dance as an outlet to share her deepest emotions. Drawing from her crossed-training in Bellydance (Egyptian Raqs Sharki, Tribal Fusion, Folkloric ) and other forms (Hip Hop, Theater, Gymnastics, Salsa, Wushu, Flamenco, Modern Jazz, …), Anasma focuses on story telling and creating characters through movement.

Introduction to Hip Hop Liquid Bellydance Fusion (12:15pm-3:15pm)
The workshop focuses on the abundant creativity that the dynamism Hip Hop elements can bring to the fluidity of Bellydance. To traditional Bellydance vocabulary (isolations, hipwork, layering…), we will apply Hip Hop dance technique (Waving, Liquid, Popping, Tutting) and also a Hip Hop Movement Concepts (with concepts such as Ticking, Tracing, Locking, Bouncing).

Hip Hop Bellydance Fusion: “Bellytutting” (3:45pm-5:45pm)
In this workshop, participants will explore each concept of tutting and apply it to bellydance, culminating in a bellytutting choreography. Registration in the Intro to Hip Hop Liquid Fusion workshop strongly suggested.
